Block fans outraged as Tanya and Vito break laundry rules
Contestants and Block fans alike became enraged after it emerged that contestants Tanya and Vito were once again playing slightly outside the rules.
Another cheating scandal erupted during Wednesday night’s episode, after it was discovered that House 3 had their laundry installed by Kinsman’s crew a week after they were supposed to.
“We are very grateful to Kinsman who came back just for us and put all the laundry in… but don’t tell anyone else,” Tanya could be seen whispering to the producers.
She later added how awesome it was that they “didn’t have to pay,” despite the laundry facility having to be revamped following the leaked production schedule scandal.
All teams were told that the Kinsman team had been booked to set up the laundry facilities last week – which was technically Living & Dining – due to the schedule change and if they weren’t ready to do so, after that , it would fall on them to pay the cost.
Naturally, when contestants Ronnie and Georgia – who had seemed to sort out with Tanya and Vito to some extent after their co-winners’ trip – found out what was going on, they were furious.
“I saw a few Kinsman installers come out of house 3,” Georgia told producers.
“We were told that (Kinsman) was not coming back, which is why we had to hurry up and do our laundry last week.”
She is then seen heading off to find Keith, asking him, “Why are they setting up Tanya and Vito’s laundry? You told us to hurry up to do our laundry.”
Indeed, a clip from last week showed Foreman Dan telling contestants, “The schedule change has us yet again. This was originally supposed to be hallway and laundry week, so Kinsman booked all of their time. attendees for this Friday. If you want Kinsman to install it, it must be this Friday, otherwise you will have to install it at your expense on laundry week. “
Ronnie added to the producers, “We had to share our victory with these guys, but we finished the laundry and they didn’t… So they had all that extra time to focus on the (living room) living room.
“What’s the point of having rules on The block? … Here they are again, they cheat. “
And viewers of the show were also frustrated with the House 3 crew, calling their move a “complete joke.”
“If The Block had really penalized H3 and H4 on their first transgression, we probably wouldn’t see the persistent bad behavior from H3. and 4 were deducted during the reveal of a coin.
“The show is a complete joke this year. Judges awarded wins to unfinished rooms just to help the budget (T&V!) House 3 get pampered by the producers without penalty for breaking the rules,” one wrote. another angry fan on Twitter.
“They were told they had to pay if they didn’t do it last week, so most people have a qualm that it was unfair to other teams, especially given the cheating fiasco. “
The Block continues Sunday at 7 p.m. on Channel 9 and 9Now.
