After a long period of working from home, it’s understandable that you want to disconnect from your WiFi for a while, then a getaway to a cottage or a rural lodge may be for you.
Take a look at some of the North Lincolnshire based chalets and lodges that are available this winter:
Log cabin at Market Rasen
This quaint little cabin, right on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, offers a cozy and comfortable stay for two. Located on the owners’ farm, it is right in the heart of the countryside, making it a great option for those looking to spot wildlife.
The cabin is open plan with wood paneled walls, soft furnishings and a raised patio outside. While you might not want to take out your bikini in the dead of winter, there is a hot tub to bathe in, so it would be rude not to try.
For three nights, the cabin costs £ 417 for two people, which is decent considering all that it offers.
The Forge in Grimsby
This sleek and stylish lodge is located just outside Grimsby, in a quiet corner of Lincolnshire. The trendy green tiled kitchen is perfect for entertaining and the beds are so comfy you’ll have to drag yourself around. Nearby are several pubs, shops, restaurants and coastal attractions.
The open-plan building has two bedrooms, underfloor heating and a hot chocolate machine. One reviewer on the Last Minute Cottages website said it was “a five star property” while another said “the outdoor space was beautiful with daily visits from the cows, calves and Ted the particularly exciting bull ”.
This four-person lodge costs £ 687 for four, which seems to be worth every penny.
The Henley at Laceby
This contemporary cabin was only built in 2018 and is the perfect couple’s getaway this winter. Just outside the center of Grimsby in the countryside, the cabin makes for a pleasant stay in peace and quiet.
With a master king size bed and a comfortable open plan kitchen / living / dining area, you’ll never want to leave. If you love golf, this cabin is for you as it is located right next to Laceby Manor Golf Club. You can poke a few holes before retiring to the Henley to relax by the electric wood-burning stove or in the outdoor hot tub below.
Three nights in this quiet cabin in November will cost £ 559 for two people.
Dream view at Laceby
Also in Laceby is this luxury lodge which sleeps four, with stunning views of Laceby Manor Golf Club. The modern interior includes an electric fireplace to keep you warm on cold winter evenings and a sunken outdoor hot tub to soak up the bubbles.
Not far from the Lincolnshire Wolds this would make a great stay if you are hoping to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A reviewer on the Last Minute Cottages website said: “The Dream View was a wonderful lodge! Modern facilities, beautiful decoration, comfortable and super clean. The hot tub was amazing and it was cleaned everyday. “
Prices vary, but for four people staying in the lodge for three nights it would cost £ 715.
Paradise Wood View in East Cottingwith
This rural Yorkshire retreat is not too far away in East Cottingwith and is home to a variety of flora and fauna on a carefully managed 15-acre site. The cabin is located near a fishing lake, which is great for any angler who wants to see what they can catch.
This is another cabin with a hot tub, so you are spoiled for choice when deciding which one to choose. Right in the Yorkshire countryside there is a small village and a canal nearby, so it really is a country sanctuary.
Paradise Wood View sleeps two and will set you back £ 429 for three nights.
Kestrel Lodge in Ashby and Fenby
This lodge can accommodate up to six people, so you can take the whole family with you or venture out into rural Lincolnshire with your friends. Kestrel Lodge has two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, as well as an open plan kitchen / lounge / diner and terrace.
The building is right next to a fishing lake. It is a fabulous place to visit if you want to get away from it all and enjoy long walks in the countryside.
The price isn’t bad either, as the cabin costs around £ 450 for three nights in November.
