Details revealed of Ferretti flagship 31m superyacht Ferretti 1000
Ferretti Yachts has just unveiled details of the 30.5-meter superyacht, the Ferretti 1000, which is the Italian shipbuilder’s largest superyacht to date. The model is the latest addition to the brand.The first unit of the model was successfully launched in March. The superyacht Ferretti 1000 was designed in collaboration by an all-Italian team, which included the product strategy committee led by Piero Ferrari, the engineering department of the Ferretti group, Filippo Salvetti and IdaeItalia, who wrote its exterior and interior designs, respectively. Its exterior is characterized by sporty lines and intensive use of glass, which also provides its interior with abundant natural light. Teak decking is used in all of its outdoor spaces.The first unit of the Ferretti 1000 was described by its builders as having a classic style and finished with a soft, balanced and neutral color palette. A central element of its design was to evoke a feeling of “just like home”. Its interior features full-height windows, which connect with its exterior, while walnut wood and marble are used throughout.The superyacht is laid out over two decks, accommodating up to 10 people in five cabins. A main deck owner’s cabin is accessible from the bow and is fitted with a walk-in closet and a sofa. The suite also has a full-width bathroom, which also combines wood, marble and glass. The furniture used in the main cabin was custom designed. The guest rooms are on the lower deck.The main deck houses a 40 square meter space aft, which includes a beach club with a swimming platform and an outdoor wellness area. From there, a tender garage is accessible, which can accommodate a tender, a jet ski, Seabobs and more. The aft deck includes a large dining table, which can also be transformed into a coffee table, making the space more versatile. Glass doors give access to the Ferretti 1000 ‘the main living room, which includes a dining area for 10 people, an entertainment area and access to the kitchen.The superyacht is operated by a crew of five and their living quarters are located on the lower bow deck. In addition to a cockpit, the space has a dining area, a sofa and a double bar.In terms of performance, the Ferretti 1000 is equipped with two MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines allowing it to reach a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots.
