Girl Shot Through Wall During Neighbors Marital Dispute
A woman was shot in the head by her neighbor who had an incident of domestic violence with his girlfriend next door. The woman is in an induced coma.
ARAAPAHOE COUNTY, Colorado – Not something you would expect standing in the kitchen.
“On Saturday October 2, she was standing in her kitchen making pet food,” said Amy Graham.
Amy Graham talks about her youngest daughter, Sally Strelecki, 27.

“Nick was next on the couch watching TV and he heard a loud bang,” Graham said. “Before I could tell Sally, what was that bang? It fell. He rushed over, couldn’t quite understand.”
Sally was lying on the kitchen floor with a bullet to the head. Her boyfriend tried to stop the bleeding by placing a towel around her head as she lay in a pool of blood. He called the paramedics who arrived in less than 10 minutes to rush him to Littleton Adventist Hospital.
Amy got the call from the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office on her way to work. She dropped everything to get on the plane and rush to help her daughter.
“I started screaming no, not my baby. I threw my bike, threw my backpack, threw it and fell to the ground,” Graham said. “I was in shock. Like everyone else – you never want to get that call. You don’t want to get a call about a car accident, whatever.”
Arapahoe County MPs arrested his neighbor, Mickel Mclean, 26, who told MPs his gun accidentally exploded.
“We all share walls now, so that’s something to think about with gun violence. You hear a domestic brawl a few doors down down the hall, what are we going to think about now,” Graham said. .
The arrest affidavit shows Mclean was fighting with his girlfriend when the gun he was carrying “accidentally exploded”. His girlfriend told MPs they were hitting each other and then the gun went off when Mclean pointed it at her.
“This is domestic violence awareness month, we are fed up with this kind of violence. It can’t happen anymore. It takes my baby away from me, ”Graham said.
Doctors work to get Sally off the ventilator in hopes that she can survive on her own.

“I don’t want her to leave this earth. I do not. I want a miracle to happen. I really do. And all of you out there, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. And yet you think you put that good juju in there and thank you for helping my baby, please, ”Graham said.
Formal charges were filed against Mclean on Friday morning, they include the following crimes:
- First Degree Assault – Extreme Indifference
- Second degree assault
- Illegal discharge of a firearm
- Third degree assault
- Reckless endangerment (three counts)
McLean is being held at the Arapahoe County Detention Center on $ 50,000 bond.
