Dean of Masaryk University Faculty of Medicine appoints selection procedure for post Instructor of the Department of Ophthalmology of the Faculty of Medicine MU
with reduced working hours (4 hours per week)

The Department of Ophthalmology is a joint workplace of the Faculty of Medicine of MU and the University Hospital in Brno, which, in addition to medical activities, carries out educational, scientific and research activities. In the field of education, it mainly provides practical training in medical and other health disciplines.

The scope of your work will be:

  • participation in theoretical and practical training in the workplace
  • preparation of study and teaching materials
  • participation in research and development activities, including publication and presentation of research results
  • part in the organizational offer of research and educational activities, incl. related administration

Degree required:

  • Complete university training in the medical field (with the title MD), or equivalent training obtained abroad
  • Professional experience in the given field, teaching experience
  • Capacity for professional work and independent research, including publishing activities
  • Ability to actively participate in an international conference or professional seminar
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Fluent Czech (spoken and written)
  • Active approach, initiative and willingness to pursue studies
  • Moral integrity

A prerequisite for inclusion in the position of assistant professor is a working relationship with the relevant hospital.
