Laundrygo mobile laundry service acquires US company to modernize
Laundry, the Korean mobile laundry service, acquired a US laundry company EPC to develop a smart laundry factory. Life Goes On, the food, clothing and shelter company that operates the Laundrygo mobile laundry service, announced the acquisition of the New York-based company A + Machines in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) development for smart laundries.
The contactless laundry service that delivers the same day
Laundrygo is a mobile laundry service in Korea that allows customers to put their laundry in a smart laundry collection box developed by themselves. The laundry is then made and returned to the customer within a few hours on the same day.
Laundrygo provides a complete laundry solution in one day, from collection to shipping to the customer’s doorstep. It operates in eight districts of Seoul, including Gangnam, Seocho, Songpa, Mapo, Yongsan, Dongjak, Seongdong and Yeongdeungpo.
The most important feature of Laundrygo is its introduction of remote services in the laundry business. Because it functions as a non-existent surface thanks to a private collection box, customers don’t have to spend time or go outside to find their laundry. All-in-one washing is convenient, including dry cleaning clothes that are left with dry cleaners.
Laundrygo operates a smart factory and provides high quality laundry services at reasonable prices through medium distribution margins and ways to reduce production costs. Users can use the service at prices up to 50% below market price through a monthly subscription service.
Acquisition to help Laundrygo deliver smarter solutions
With the acquisition of the A + machines, Life Goes On will proceed with the construction of a smart factory equipped with advanced technology. Laundrygo plans to introduce the world’s first automatic garment delivery system to every customer in the B2C laundry industry in 2021. The latest acquisition will help the company in that direction. A + Machinery, founded in 1998, specializes in innovative solutions for laundromats and dry cleaning companies. It provides commercial laundry solutions to businesses around the world.
CEO Cho Seung-woo said, “The laundry industry has similar customer needs to other areas, so it is easy to create a global standard and has a high probability of success in the global market. He added: “We will do our best to innovate through laundry guaranteeing original technology. he said
Meanwhile, Laundrygo is building a second smart laundry factory in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, and plans to expand its service area to Songdo, Gwangmyeong, Gimpo, and Paju in 2021.
