But Warren said the most exciting part of JobNow is that users benefit from this one-on-one coaching.

“They get the skills and they get the live support,” Warren said.

Warren said that for those new to the workforce, JobNow offers career assessments based on skills and interests. There is also help with software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Even for someone looking for a new mid-career job, there are details they might not even have considered and JobNow can offer advice, Warren said. Most companies now require an online application, and online coaches can help users tailor their resumes to get noticed by employers in specific job areas.

“It’s kind of a good opportunity to refresh yourself and get that focused attention so that you can then go through the rest of the job hunt with the confidence that you are doing your best,” Warren said.

The implementation of the program arose out of the strategic planning effort of the library system.
