Napa’s Milliken Creek Inn unveils redesign and new amenities
After an upgrade of several months, Napa’s Milliken Creek Inn is ready to welcome guests this summer with a new look and improved experiences.
What’s up? The update includes all new decor, custom furniture, modern lighting and artwork to new paint, hardwood floors and light fixtures. Spaces have been redesigned to take advantage of the Inn’s three-acre waterfront setting at the base of the Silverado Trail.
The 11 redesigned guest rooms at the Milliken Creek Inn have king-size beds and many have river views, private decks or patios. Most of the rooms have fireplaces and a few have oversized tubs. All rooms are equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker and L’Occitane bathroom products. Customers can also look forward to exciting technology upgrades, like Tivoli Bluetooth speakers and 55-inch Samsung TVs with free Apple TV streaming services, allowing customers to stream from their own devices. There are also in-room iPads for guests to browse magazine and newspaper subscriptions, make breakfast selections, or order an in-room meal.
The lobby has a fireplace and a new drink bar, while an adjacent deck has a new fire pit overlooking the river and the gardens below. Plus, intimate seating areas with fire pits flank the koi pond.
The winding paths in the gardens are punctuated with fountains and mature trees. The inn’s large, well-kept grounds are the perfect setting for an afternoon of croquet and other lawn games.
Redesigned by Jennifer Wojtkiewicz and Shelley Harden of Indigo Coast Design, Milliken Creek Inn has also improved its guest experience. Upon arrival, guests can now bypass reception and sip a glass of wine in the lobby or on the deck during check-in. There are also some cool tech inclusions, including mobile keyless entry and the Whistle text messaging platform, which invite guests to communicate instantly and easily with members of the hostel team. Guests can also view iPads with the hostel’s Netflix account for on-site use.
Good to know: A cooked-to-order breakfast is included with every stay. There is also an afternoon mini picnic, including wine, cheeses and freshly baked cookies. Free cordials and s’mores kits are offered each evening. Additionally, a new small plate menu is available for optional ordering throughout the day, with selections such as charcuterie platters, cheese platters, and pizza.
At night, flameless candles, soft lighting and soft music welcome guests to their rooms.
Milliken Creek Inn is part of the Four Sisters Inns collection.
