Pandamart opens its 50th store in a year

KARACHI: Pandamart has reached an important milestone by opening its 50th store in DHA Phase 8, Karachi, according to a statement.

Pandamart, the country’s leading online food delivery platform, has opened over 50 stores in just over a year since the first store opened in Bahadurabad, Karachi in November 2020.

Speaking of pandamart’s rapid growth, Nauman Sikandar Mirza, Managing Director of foodpanda said, “Q-commerce is definitely the future and pandamart is boldly pioneering this industry as evidenced by the growth we have achieved in so little time.

“Our mission is to vigorously support the government’s goal of achieving a digital Pakistan and documenting the economy, while providing unprecedented convenience and benefits to the public through 20-hour online grocery shopping. every day,” he added.

Pandamart stores are spread across Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Hyderabad, with this nationwide network of stores serving around 85-90% of the population in the cities covered.

The company plans to further increase the number of stores and expand to several more cities during this year. Current stores cover over 350,000 square feet of floor space, stock over 10,000 products from over 200 suppliers and vendors.

These stores directly employ over 1,250 people and create economic opportunities for the independent riding community.

Online grocery shopping has many advantages, including the convenience of ordering from home instead of physically going to stores, which is especially important during the Covid pandemic, extremely fast delivery, high product quality, in particularly perishables like fruit and vegetables, competitive pricing, and particularly relevant in times of Covid, minimizing human contact and avoidable movement of people.
