Seneca man faces child sex crimes charges following alleged incidents dating back to 2017-18
WALHALLA, SC (WSPA) – The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office said a man faced multiple child sex crimes following an investigation into incidents believed to have taken place between April 2017 and May 2018.
According to a press release, an MP was made aware on April 17, 2020 of allegations regarding William Schyler Ferguson, 22, of Seneca, inappropriately touching three separate victims.
The investigation was assigned to the Child and Elder Abuse Investigator in the Criminal Investigations Division, where it was later determined that Ferguson allegedly affected three victims between April 2017 and May 2018.
Ferguson was charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with minor charges and was held at the Oconee County Detention Center on Wednesday after being transferred from the McCracken County Detention Center to Paducah, Ky., To the county. of Oconee by deputies.
He was also served with a warrant for the arrest of the general sessions.
Ferguson has been posted $ 60,000 bail on all three counts and remains in custody at the detention center.
The sheriff’s office said he would be required to wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition of bail if released.
An investigation into this matter is still ongoing.
